Information We Collect
We may collect information you enter into our tools or forms, including loan type, balance range, repayment status, employment type, income range, state, servicer, school name, profession, calculator inputs, forgiveness-check inputs, school searches, appointment or callback preferences, name, email, phone, consent choices, source page, and TrustedForm certificate URL if you submit contact information.
If you create a free saved plan account, we collect the email address required for account activation, optional name, optional reminder or newsletter choices, a saved plan snapshot if available, verification-code timestamps, and account status information. We do not store the plain 6-digit verification code.
We may also collect visitor activity information such as page views, clicks, referring page, UTM parameters, browser/device details, approximate IP-derived location, hashed IP-based abuse-prevention events, school link clicks, and form submission timestamps. We use local browser storage to remember basic choices and a visitor identifier.
What We Do Not Want You To Submit
Do not send or enter your FSA ID, password, Social Security number, date of birth, full loan account number, tax documents, payment card information, bank account information, or uploaded loan files. Student Loan Help Hub does not need those items to provide educational planning tools or route a request.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide educational checklists, estimate planning figures, create and activate saved plan accounts, send account verification codes, route callback requests, show relevant buyer or school-link options, respond to privacy/support requests, measure site performance, prevent abuse, document consent, improve content, and help admins review visitor and lead activity.
We do not determine official eligibility for repayment plans, forgiveness, discharge, consolidation, refinancing, admission, or any other official program. Verify official actions with StudentAid.gov, your loan servicer, the applicable school, or a qualified advisor.
Consent And TrustedForm
When you submit a lead or callback form, we may store the exact consent text shown on the form, timestamp, source page, selected options, TrustedForm certificate URL, and routing information. This helps document what you saw and selected when submitting the form.
We may use independent consent-verification and lead-certification technologies, including TrustedForm or similar providers, to document website interactions, inquiry details, form activity, and consent records connected to a submitted request.
Creating a saved plan account requires an email address so we can send a verification code and help protect the account. Reminder emails, newsletter emails, and marketing contact permissions are separate choices and are not required to use the free tools.
Cookies, Analytics, Pixels, And Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, server logs, analytics events, click tracking, pixels, tags, web beacons, call tracking, consent-verification tools, and approximate IP geolocation to operate the site, remember choices, understand which pages and tools are useful, prevent abuse, document consent, and improve services.
These technologies may collect or help process page visits, clicks, form activity, browser and device information, referring pages, UTM parameters, approximate location, and timestamps. We may use service providers such as hosting, analytics, advertising, lead-verification, call-tracking, fraud-prevention, and attribution vendors. If advertising or analytics platforms such as Google, Meta, Microsoft, or similar providers are configured, they may receive information through cookies, pixels, tags, or related technologies as described here and in the applicable consent or privacy choices interface.
If we enable chat, call recording, session replay, heatmap, or screen-recording technologies, interactions with this website may be monitored, recorded, or analyzed by us and our service providers for quality assurance, compliance, fraud prevention, analytics, customer support, and service improvement. We do not want you to enter FSA credentials, Social Security numbers, tax documents, bank details, or other sensitive credentials into this site.
Outbound school links may be routed through tracking links so we can count clicks, append a click ID, and receive conversion postbacks if a school or partner reports that a visitor signed up on its page.
You can limit optional analytics and school-link tracking for this browser on the Privacy Choices page. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we treat it as a request to limit optional analytics and school-link tracking where technically feasible.
How We Share Information
We may disclose information to service providers that help operate hosting, analytics, lead verification, communications, security, school-link tracking, buyer routing, and partner attribution. If you request a call or choose to be contacted, we may share your submitted information with the matched student loan education partner or intake partner shown or described on the page.
We may receive referral, click, lead, or performance compensation from schools, lenders, student loan education partners, or other third parties. Rankings, recommendations, buyer cards, school links, featured listings, article placements, and outbound links may be influenced by compensation, offer type, availability, conversion performance, and relevance to the information you provide. Some disclosures connected to advertising, referral tracking, school links, or partner routing may be considered a sale or sharing of personal information under applicable state privacy laws. Retention
We keep records for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including operating the site, documenting consent, supporting admin review, honoring privacy requests, preventing abuse, resolving disputes, and meeting legal or accounting obligations.
Your Choices
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe method in the message when available. You can reply STOP to texts where available. You can use Privacy Choices to limit optional browser tracking or submit access, deletion, correction, opt-out, or other privacy requests.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. Do not submit information for a child through this site.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures for the size and nature of this site. No website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
